In All the Ordinary Things

All the Ordinary Things Divine Will round

Lord, I immerse myself in Your Divine Will,
and gather every ordinary human act in You.

In every human breath, I love You.
In every heartbeat, bless You.
In every human step, I honor You.
In every movement, praise You.
In waking and in sleeping,
in resting through the night,
I gather all these human acts
and join them to Your life.

In laughter and in smiling,
in every joyful sound,
in every tear that mankind sheds,
let love for You be found.
In sorrow and in suffering,
in comfort and in pain,
I love, adore, and thank You,
and offer all again.

In all the ordinary things,
be glorified, O Lord.
In every little human act,
be loved and praised by all.
I gather them in Your Divine Will,
united with Your own,
with all Your hidden acts on earth,
for God's great glory alone.

In washing and in cleaning,
in dressing for the day,
in brushing teeth and combing hair,
I place my love and praise.
In sewing and in cooking,
in making daily bread,
in every little task we do,
be loved and honored there.

In going forth to labor,
providing for our homes,
in driving down the highway,
wherever mankind goes,
In running and in jumping,
in climbing, sports, and play,
I love, bless, praise, and thank You
in the movements of each day.

In tending to the garden,
in caring for the home,
in swimming through the water,
in every path we roam,
In every innocent pleasure,
in friendship and in play,
I gather all that's good and pure
and offer it today.

In every sight of beauty,
in every sound we hear,
in every scent and fragrance,
in every taste that's pure,
In every gentle touch of love,
I gather every sense,
uniting them with Jesus' acts,
so holy and innocent.

Jesus, I unite them all
with the hidden acts of Your life:
every breath and every heartbeat,
every step and sacrifice;
Your working and Your resting,
Your laughter and Your tears,
Your seeing and Your hearing,
through all Your hidden years.
I unite the acts of mankind
with every act You lived,
and offer all within Your Will
for God's great glory.

Every breath and every heartbeat,

I gather into Yours.
United with Your hidden life,
within the Divine Will,
I offer all to God our Father
for His great glory.
