WHO IS MOTHER GABRIELLE MARIE?
Mother Gabrielle Marie is the Mother Superior and foundress of the Benedictine Daughters of Divine Will. She started out as a Poor Clare and was mentored under Abbess Mother Angelica, foundress of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament and EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network).
In 1998 Mother began reading the Divine Will writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta which she received through the hands of a postulant who wanted permission to read them.
In 2009 she decided to make a retreat at a Benedictine monastery with her friend and spiritual director, Fr. Jacques Daley, OSB. They both feel a strong call to found a new monastic community in Italy dedicated to Eucharistic adoration and Luisa Piccarreta’s writings - The Book of Heaven and others about the Divine Will.
In 2011 His Excellency Mons. Luigi Negri opened the door for the Benedictine Daughters of Divine Will to be a Public Association of the Faithful in the Diocese of San Marino-Montefeltro. In 2016, the bishop gave permission to found the Third Order of Benedictine Oblates of Divine Will to allow the laity to be part of the Order.
