LORD OF THE DANCE

Jesus, I fuse myself and all humanity
in Your Most Holy Divine Will.
With Your own Love, I come to love You
in every song and dance of praise.

I love You in the songs of Israel,
In Miriam’s timbrel by the sea,
In every voice that sang Your triumph,
In every dance of victory.

I bless You in King David’s dancing,
Before the Ark with all his might.
I join his joy and holy praises,
And offer You his heart’s delight.

“Let them praise his name in the dance:
let them sing praises unto him
with the timbrel and harp.”

Chorus

I am the Lord of the Dance,
Come, rejoice and sing with Me!
Let all creation join the dance,
And praise the Holy Trinity!

I love You at the wedding feast,
With Mary there beside Your side.
I bless You in the songs of gladness,
The joyful gathering, groom and bride.

I praise You in the celebration,
In every song of love they raise.
I thank You for the water changed to wine,
Your first great sign of grace.

“Thou hast turned for me
my mourning into dancing.”

I love You, Jesus, ascending
In triumph to the Father’s throne,
With souls redeemed through Your great Passion,
Rejoicing in the Love You’ve shown.

Alleluia! I adore You!
With Mary, angels, saints above,
With Adam, Joseph, John, Elijah,
I join their songs of endless love.

With David and the holy prophets,
With every soul Your mercy saves,
I dance around You, King of Glory,
And bless You in their joyful praise!

Chorus

I am the Lord of the Dance,
Come, rejoice and sing with Me!
Let all creation join the dance,
And praise the Holy Trinity!

I love You in the dance of Heaven,
A dance of joy and delight.
I bless You in the song You’re singing,
A song that’s forever new.

With Mary, saints, and all the angels,
I offer You their love and praise.
I bring all souls before Your Father,
To bless and glorify Your ways.

“Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
praise him with stringed instruments and organs.”

May Heaven’s song resound through ages,
May every heart Your Love proclaim.
May every dance and song of worship
Bring glory to Your Holy Name!

Alleluia! Alleluia!
