Mary's Martyrdom of Solitude
Little Children in the Divine Will

Mary’s Martyrdom of Solitude

Jesus, I enter into Your Holy Will,

and I come beside Your Mother

in the long martyrdom of her solitude.

I gather her acts, prayers,

sacrifices and Fiats,

and offer them to You with my love.

I love You in Mary remaining on earth

when her Heart longed to follow You.

I love You in the pain of physical separation,

in her longing to see Your Face again.

I love You as she missed

Your voice, Your gaze, Your embrace,

and in her unshakable faith

that never departed from Your Will.

Chorus

In the martyrdom of Mary’s solitude,

I love You, praise You, bless and adore You.

In her sorrow and her longing,

in her sacrifice and prayer,

I gather all her holy acts

and offer them to You with my love.

With Mary I repeat her Fiat:

Your Will be done in me.

I love You in Mary strengthening

the faith of the early Christians.

I love You in the wisdom and guidance she gave,

in her prayers with the Apostles,

in her maternal care for Your Church,

and in the souls she helped draw closer to You.

I love You in all her humble tasks,

in the hidden work of daily life,

in ordinary acts made holy

by the Divine Will reigning within her.

I love You in her steps and heartbeats,

in her words, her silence and her prayer,

and in the Fiats she offered

only for Your glory.

Chorus

In the martyrdom of Mary’s solitude,

I love You, praise You, bless and adore You.

In her sorrow and her longing,

in her sacrifice and prayer,

I gather all her holy acts

and offer them to You with my love.

With Mary I repeat her Fiat:

Your Will be done in me.

I love You when the Holy Trinity

seemed hidden from her,

and in Mary heroically suffering

the martyrdom of divine abandonment.

I love You in the new fullness of grace

You gave her to endure this solitude,

and in her perfect surrender

when Heaven seemed silent.

I love You in Mary feeling

the weight of the sins of the world,

the sins that made Your Heart bleed.

I love You as she heard within her soul

the echo of Your agonies,

Your humiliations and outrages,

Your sufferings and tortures,

uniting herself again to Your Passion.

I love You in Mary consoling herself

with Your presence in the Eucharist.

I love You as she received You,

adored You beneath the sacramental veils,

and found in the Eucharistic Jesus

the One for whom her whole being longed.

I place my I love You in her longing to see Your Face;

I thank You in her sacrifices for Your Church;

I bless You in the wisdom she gave;

I praise You in her unshakable faith;

I adore You in the Fiats of our Mother.

I love You in the graces Mary obtained for souls during this time,

in her prayers offered for mankind,

in the sufferings she accepted for Your children,

and in the souls her maternal Heart carried before Your throne.

In the martyrdom of Mary’s solitude,

I love You, praise You, bless and adore You.

In her works, her prayers and sacrifices,

in her sorrow and her Fiat,

I gather all her holy acts

and offer them to You with my love.

I honor and venerate the Immaculate Heart of Mother Mary,

broken by the martyrdom of solitude,

yet unwavering in the Divine Will,

remaining upon the earth for the good of mankind.

And when at last her exile ended

and she beheld Your Face again,

I love You in the joy of Mother and Son,

reunited never to part.
