Round of the Patriarchs and Prophets

O Lord, I enter Your Divine Will,

And gather the acts of Your servants of old.

In every prayer, every sacrifice,

In every word spoken for You,

I love You, I praise You,

I bless You and thank You.

With Noah, as he trusted Your warning,

And built the ark at Your command,

I love You in his steadfast perseverance,

In every faithful work of his hands.

With Abraham, when You called him forth,

And he left his homeland at Your word,

I love You in his complete surrender,

And in the covenant You made with him.

With Joseph, betrayed by his brothers,

Yet steadfast through suffering and trial,

I love You in his resilience and forgiveness,

As You used him to save many lives from famine.

Lord, in every holy act they offered,

In every prayer, sacrifice, and praise,

I love You, bless You, praise You, thank You,

And gather them all within Your Divine Will.

With Moses before the burning bush,

As he led Your people out of bondage,

I love You in his leadership and intercession,

And every step through the wilderness.

With David, shepherd, king, and psalmist,

I love You in every song he sang,

In his repentance and his longing for You,

In every praise that rose from his heart.

With Micah, proclaiming justice and mercy,

And calling Your people to walk humbly with You,

I love You in every truth he proclaimed,

And in his hope for the promised Messiah.

Lord, in every holy act they offered,

In every prayer, sacrifice, and praise,

I love You, bless You, praise You, thank You,

And gather them all within Your Divine Will.

In Samuel listening for Your voice,

In Elijah’s burning zeal for Your honor,

In Isaiah proclaiming Your promises,

In Jeremiah’s tears for Your people,

In Daniel’s courage before earthly kings,

And every prophet known to You—

I love You in their every holy word,

I love You in their every sacrifice,

I love You in their sufferings for You,

I love You in their love for Your people.

And in every holy act

Of the patriarchs and prophets,

Known and unknown,

Recorded and hidden,

I gather their love and faithfulness,

And offer them all back to You.

Lord, in every holy act they offered,

Holy God, with Your own Divine Love,
