Offering the Sufferings of St. Lidwina
Little Children in the Divine Will

OFFERING THE SUFFERINGS OF ST. LIDWINA

Holy Father, I pour myself into Your Divine Will,

And united with St. Lidwina, I come before You to gather every moment of her suffering and love,

And I offer every act to You.

In Schiedam, Holland, long ago,

Young Lidwina walked through ice and snow.

At fifteen years, she fell upon the ice,

And from that day began her sacrifice.

I love You, praise You, bless and thank You,

In Your Most Holy Divine Will.

I love You in every holy act,

Every sacrifice and suffering

Of St. Lidwina, offered up to You.

For many years she suffered pain,

Her health she never would regain.

Through weakness, sorrow, every tear,

She learned to find her Jesus near.

I love You, praise You, bless and thank You,

In Your Most Holy Divine Will.

I love You in every holy act,

Every sacrifice and suffering

Of St. Lidwina, offered up to You.

Unable to live as once she had,

Through days of suffering, joyful and sad,

She joined her sorrows to Christ’s own pain,

And offered them to God her King.

I love You, praise You, bless and thank You,

In Your Most Holy Divine Will.

I love You in every holy act,

Every sacrifice and suffering

Of St. Lidwina, offered up to You.

From her sickbed she cared for those in need,

Helping the poor in word and deed.

In every prayer, in every pain,

She gave herself to God again.

I love You, praise You, bless and thank You,

In Your Most Holy Divine Will.

I love You in every holy act,

Every sacrifice and suffering

Of St. Lidwina, offered up to You.

I gather every holy act,

Each prayer, each sacrifice and pain,

And in the Divine Will I offer them

Before Your throne again.

I place my “I love You” in them all,

From first to last, from great to small,

That all may give You glory, Lord,

In Your eternal Will.

And now, St. Lidwina, pray for us,

For all who suffer day by day.

For those whose illness will not leave,

Help us trust God and remain strong.Amen.
